Apartment reconstruction and interior refinement project of Alfred Rudolf Kehva designed 1930’s apartment building in Kassisaba area, Tallinn Estonia.
This two-room apartment hadn’t been renovated in decades. The room plan consisted of entrance, wc, kitchen, living room and a bedroom. There was no washing opportunity for the habitant. There was only a communal sauna and shower on the sublevel.
The apartments’ new room solution created a shower room + wc in the old kitchen. Old wc is storage room and new kitchen is in the open living room. Existent bedroom maintains its initial place as will the entrance.
Materials/ light oak wood, dark + white ceramic tiles, high baseboards, round electrical outlets & switches, traditional doors
