Currently her work aims the preservation of wild animals in danger of extinction. When painting these animals, she believe that she is supporting their preservation.
About Sonia Burgareli
She always had great intimacy with drawings and brushes. She lives in Belo Horizonte, Brazil. She started as a fashion designer and then graduated in Art Education. She loves painting, especially on canvas. Her work evolves in thematic series. Her research always takes its inspiration from her country. In the series: Tribute to Tarsila do Amaral, Illusions, Africa, Transparencies, Wild Animals, among others, she shows her passion for Brazil. In addition to exhibitions in Brazil, she attended the ARTEXPO – NY/2008 with the Brazilian Group. She made an individual exposition in Lisbon, Portugal, in March 2012. She was classified in the International Art Festival 2012-MORA Museum in New Jersey, for another exhibition.
